Lots of stuff can irritate the vaginal area — from bubble baths to tight underwear or a wet bathing suit. If you have itching or other irritation, try to eliminate the reason for it. Don't use perfumed soaps or body washes, and avoid tight-fitting stuff, like underwear and tights. And take off your wet bathing suit when you're done swimming.
Sometimes soap is irritating, so it's fine to wash the vaginal area with only warm water. It can be soothing, too, to sit in a bath of warm water. No bubbles, please! Also, be sure to tell your mom about your itchy problem. She might be able to give you some ointment that can eliminate the itch. And if the itchiness won't go away, it's time to visit the doctor.
